Good sized patty of grass-fed beef, locally sourced and cooked to order. They’ll make the burger pretty much any way you want it, and even have a good selection of cheeses for you to pick from! The burgers are so good that they make up for the not-so-good fries that make up a meal; the fries are an afterthought, basically, just a thing on the menu because what burger joint doesn’t have fries? The ones I got today weren’t even fully cooked; it was still raw potato in the middle! Come on, guys, the disparity is costing you a perfect score (and it’d really be 3.5 instead of 4, but the main meal is so good I’m rounding up instead of down).

But the burgers, oh, the burgers are divine (pun intended). Highly recommended just for them alone. You can probably skip the sides and just get a bag of chips, but don’t miss these burgers.

    Wholly wow!

I stopped in to get a breakfast taco after a friend’s recommendation and was blown away.

Just one filled me up entirely – it was more like a burrito! AND I have never had fluffier eggs in my entire life.

5 stars for the fact that they had Valentina on every table was a huge plus.

    EDIT

Stopped back in for a chicken club sandwich. 2 chicken breasts!! WOW.

This place has the best customer service and appreciation – can’t eat the food every day BUT will come back whenever the craving strikes.

Wholly Cow is my cheat-day Friday favorite. Their burgers are the best burgers downtown in my opinion. Everyone is super nice in there and are willing to make suggestions if you want to try something new.

There is indoor and outdoor seating too, which is a huge plus in my book since in the cool autumn days I want to sit outdoors. Perfect for a quick lunch downtown but also perfect for a long lunch where you lounge and eat their amazing frenchfries as slowly as you can. Savor them my friends…savor them.

Nice little concept place in downtown Austin. The Hawaiian buns really complements the grass fed burgers. Love that they had TopoChico too. Oh and Dublin Sodas for their fountain drinks. Awesome lunch after visiting the capital.

Alrighty. Bout time I wrote this. I visited Austin from Southern California in the summer of 2013 for the Fourth of July and RTX. Yeah. Tourist. Gross. :)

While waiting around to go see Maestro, my buddy and I happened upon this place and realized that we were hungry. Not that hungry, but hungry nonetheless. We split a Philly cheesesteak and fries. Lemme tell ya, best cheesesteak sandwich I’ve ever had. Watching them make it probably improved the taste. But man, it was soooo good.

The day we were leaving from Austin we made a point to come by again for lunch and grabbed some burgers. The beef was so good. Definitely worthy of the restaurant name.

I’m sitting here in SoCal eating a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and I’m kinda sad thinking about how much better that cheesesteak was than the one I’m eating now. So here I am over one year later writing a review. If I ever find myself in Austin again, I’m goin back to Wholly Cow.

Tried the breakfast tacos for the first time and whoaaaa, these breakfast tacos are so good!! I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch but I’m more impressed with their breakfast. The tacos are HUGE and reasonably priced. I had the migas and they were exactly what you’d expect of migas cooked with love:).

Best part – I think they serve their breakfast tacos all day! I will definitely be visiting this place more than I should.

Try these you won’t be sorry.
