Ratas De Dos Patas are a Chicago based award winning all Latine sketch comedy and improv collective. Ratas curates experiences that challenge the hetero cis patriarchy while using humor to uplift the Latine community and other systemically oppressed voices. Named after the iconic feminist anthem by Paquita La Del Barrio, which translates to “rats on two feet”, we believe laughter is an equalizing force. When we see ourselves represented authentically in our vulnerability, humanity, and humor, we can remove barriers and positively impact social change. Ratas de Dos Patas have been featured in Telemundo Chicago, the Chicago Tribune, TimeOut Chicago, and won ALTA´s 2019 Outstanding Improv Ensemble. Ratas have had 6 successful runs at the Annoyance Theatre, have been featured acts in comedy festivals across the country, successfully sold out Día De Los Muertos shows for three years, and produced a short film. These fierce performers bring audiences comedy, cultura, y corazón to elevate la comunidad.
The Hideout is a Downtown Austin, Texas improv comedy theater with shows and classes every week. Show calendar, class information, tickets, and directions.
