Community Salon Featuring Works by Ernie Mae Miller & Interview with Margaret Wright
Celebrating Black Music Month, the Austin History Center recreates the jazz scene experienced on Red River Street during the 50’s and 60’s through a special community salon. Featuring a discussion about the life and works of Ernie Mae Miller and living legend Margaret Wright. Ernie Mae left a lasting legacy, enjoying a 15-year residency at the New Orleans Club and helped usher in the beginning of Red River’s reputation as a live music destination.
