Zydeco on the Lawn
Celebrate music,dancing, and the Republic of Texas with Zydeco on the Lawn at the French Legation Museum. Surround yourself with Texas history on the grounds of the oldest home in Austin while enjoying the Louisiana style of Jean Pierre and the Zydeco Angels and Cher La-Bas’ Texas Cajun music.
Bring your chairs, blankets, and dancing shoes. Be prepared to bid at the silent auction filled with treasures from around Texas. Come hungry–The Original New Orleans Po-Boy and Gumbo Shop’s food truck will be onsite selling traditional Cajun/Creole fare including etoufee, red beans and rice, po-boys, and more.
Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance, available at the museum or online at www.earlyaustin.org. Proceeds benefit Museum preservation and programs.
