  1. Our condo has a burger night each month and we walk to a new place and try it out.
This month we chose Eureka! as our place to go.
They accommodated our larger group (10 or so) with ease and got water and drinks going right away. The waiter was charming and attentive, and joked easily with our crowd as he made sure everyone had what they needed.
We needed BURGERS! And we GOT BURGERS!
I will not speak for the entire group individually, but everyone raved about the burgers they ordered.
My husband went with the The Original Eureka!™:
    iceberg lettuce / pickles /red onion / tomato /special sauce / signature
    handcut fries
and I got adventurous with the Napa Burger:
    roasted Roma tomato /pesto aioli / Havarti /pancetta / arugula /
    signature handcut fries
Seriously, they had me at pancetta and roasted tomato on this one, but in addition, my husband subbed his fries out for a small salad and I opted for the sweet potato fries, which were a total taste treat. They drizzle the sweet potato fries with a little honey and cinnamon. Outrageously good!
Good beer and wine selection and the ambience was right on point. Very light, clean and comfortable and the music was not too loud. The waiter split up our checks with no questions asked, and made everyone feel welcome.
We will be back, with or without the burger bunch!

  2. It was national mac n cheese day and Jesse wanted to celebrate it properly with a nice gooey bowl of cheese and noodles. I saw Eureka! not only has an alfredo mac n cheese but they also have 40 beers on tap and 45 types of whiskey! They even carry Pappy Van Winkle.

Eureka! has a large rectangle bar taking up most of the real estate of the restaurant. There are modern communal tables, bright comfy booths and a more serene sitting area with water trickling table side.

We sat at a communal table and were promptly greeted. Jesse ordered a local beer and I started with their Pinot Noir. Tuesday is 1/2 off wine (except for wines only served in bottles) so my $10 drink was a mere $5. We also caught the tail end of hoppy hour so Jesse’s $6 was a more reasonable $4. Service and the kitchen were both super quick. Jesse ordered the Alfredo mac n cheese which was absolutely delicious. It has sherry sauce in it giving it a nice tangy flavor. I ordered the Pacific fish tacos which was mahi mahi blackened and seasoned well on a bed of cabbage and topped with avocado aioli, a refreshing mango salsa and cilantro. They were stuffed to the brim and much more than I could eat in one sitting. I would definitely order the tacos and the mac n cheese again.

The burgers look crazy good and they have a house-made veggie beet patty.

Happy hour is 2pm-6pm and 9mp-11pm. They also have $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys on the weekend.

  3. Really like it!

Cool atmosphere quite comfortable and well laid out.

Everything says value from multiple specials going on. We scored with Hoppy Hour which includes weekends 2-6. $6 hefty pour Four Roses bourbon, yeah. Can’t wait for Tuesday half off wine.

Service was good but a bit slow and the place was not crowded mid-afternoon.

Food execution was high level. Creaper wings and corn dog lollipops to start, yum.

Hangar steak with salad sub and serious bone marrow burger which was over the top. Must recommend for cow eaters.

Great food, great prices, a high 4* Yelper. Next time maybe cinco.

  4. Wowsers! 🙂 we were invited to the soft opening today and got treated to an app, a meal, and a dessert. Quite the arrangement! The restaurant is a nice location on dirty 6th, across from the Driskill Hotel. The sign faces Brazos St, so don’t miss it… The interior is stone walls with dark wood floor planking, and contemporary elements. It’s a nice ambiance with good tunes playing in the background.

Now to the food.. We ordered parm truffle fries that were ohhhhhh soooo good! My coworker ordered the fig burger and it was smokey and savory. I got the chicken tacos, which were packed full of flavor and simply terrific. By the end of our meal, we walked away full of libations and great food… With great memories of a wonderful meal. This place is gonna shakeup downtown.. Cause they have a happy hour! Heck yea!
