Hops & Grain is an award winning Austin Craft Brewery. Passion for crafting the best beer in an environmentally responsible manner is what drives us.

We’ve built sustainable practices into all aspects of our business, including recycling the spent brewing grains to make dog treats, canning our beer, donating 1% of our profits to environmental causes, and sourcing our ingredients from local and green providers.

Our tap room is open 7 days a week, 10am-10pm. We have a constantly rotating tap-list of 7-10 different beers brewed on-site; including random beers only released at the tap room.

Tours offered Tuesday – Friday at 5pm and Saturday’s at 1pm, 3pm, & 5pm. Tours are FREE & last about 45 minutes. Dogs are welcome on our outdoor patio but are NOT allowed inside the tap room.

So you know that when a brewery is open at 10am and people are already there sampling beers that it’s going to be a good one. Or a drunk one. This is both.
This spot is sort of hidden away inside a building of other businesses. And it’s way bigger than it looks. There’s plenty of room to sit and plenty of beers to try. And they’re good. So good. I’m not usually an IPA fan but they had a double that tasted like beer and orange juice had the best baby ever. The staff is also friendly, or at least the one bearded dude behind the counter, who offered up beer suggestions and was a damn nice guy. I hear they run tours and it’s a shame I didn’t get to take it, as I could have spent more time here.

Gem of a brewery. Highly recommend the tour on the weekend — you’ll find that this brewery does much more than just beer (sustainability, even community service) but also that their beer is excellent and very unique. I’m from California and am bummed I can’t take home a thousand liters of the Green House IPA back with me.

They play good music and have board games, cards to play if you’re just hanging out and drinking.

Also, if you’re there and a burger food truck is parked outside, do yourself a favor and GET ONE. They’re small but flavorful and on excellent brioche buns.

Great atmosphere and run by people that are passionate about what they do. The beer selection is great and there are always small batch beers on tap.
