Nasha (hindi) – “to crave”. At Nasha, downtown Austin Indian food, we have combined our favorite cuisines from our homes into food we love. Pulling flavors and techniques from the Mumbai to the Malvani coast of India to Austin, Texas, we have created a fresh yet authentic experience.
This is not your average Indian Buffet. We serve health conscious soul food straight from our home. We never use food colours & MSG, and all of our meats are consciously sourced. We serve all the “hit” curries like Tikka Masala, Saag, Vindaloo, Korma but in a rustic style cooking. There are several vegetarian, cream-free, and gluten free options. In addition to the standard, we have added our take on tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas as well as a special brunch menu. Our food is all Indian and a little Tex-Mex. The curry blends are ground in-house, the ingredients are always fresh, and the flavor is always crave worthy.

  1. Incredibly tasty. Comfortable and fun environment. Hands down the best Indian food in ATX. Will definitely be back!

  2. Wow. Love this place. Food is great! Jalapeño nan was tasty, Szechuan chicken w/spicy sauce wonderful and the Sprouts Bhaji was sooooo good! House Margarita was icing on the cake!
    I’ll be back!

  3. Great food with decent prices! Thoroughly enjoyed the garlic naan as well – nothing beats a good piece of naan. This will probably be my go to Indian restaurant in Austin.

Taking off a star because of the service. While some employees were awesome, some others seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Their attitude in seating us and giving us food was cold – maybe that’s how it usually is, but it was a little off putting to me. Nothing too big, but something to note.

  4. I had lunch here with some coworkers after we completed a volunteer project on the southeast side. One of my colleagues couldn’t stop raving about the place. Well, it lived up to the hype! The food is delicious! I had the shahi korma with chicken. There was an explosion of flavor in my mouth after the first bite. The cashew/almond sauce was perfect. The prices are right and they have GF options as well. Plus, they are open late on the weekend (1am) if you are wanting some food after catching a show somewhere. Oh, and don’t forget to get the garlic naan! It melts in your mouth.

  5. Great accommodations for vegetarians and vegans! Love the outdoor seating and environment. I got the millionaires curry, Chana masala, and garlic naan! Was a bit more on the plain side- however it’s much healthier than your traditional Indian restaurant that is loaded with oil and sodium! I’d recommend for the environment and amazing options available! Food is a 3/5, but everything else makes it a 4/5.
