  1. A creative way to see any city is on a segway! Having done this in Asheville, NC and St. Aug., FL we thought this would be fun to take the Art Segway in Austin, TX with the bridal party! The challenge was to avoid people walking on the sidewalks we were riding on too. People were very kind to us, parting to allow us thru (probably fearing for their lives..lol) and cars not hitting us as the 9 of us crossed roads. Our guide, Alejandra was very engaging and helpful as some in our party wanted to roam off the trails….the guys. The segways also have safety devices that shut the machine down if anyone gets to adventurous…ie..the guys…lol. So though THEY had a few spills no one left with broken bones. Greatly enjoyed seeing Hope Hill where there is continuing street art being created…much better on segway then trying to drive or park near it to see it!

  2. Tour company was awesome! We ended up being the only people on the tour which made it highly personalized. Make sure to ask for Max. #greatesttourguideever

  3. My friend who used to work for SegCity insisted while on my visit, I check this place out. So, while visiting to celebrate my mom’s 60th with my sister, we took the 4pm 2.5 hour history tour. Kent was our tour guide and he was great! The tour was fun, the tone jovial, and simply a blast. We had a wonderful time taking in the sights, learning new things, getting to know Kent, and fantasizing about relocating to Austin. Seriously, if you are in town, give this place a whirl. The staff are friendly and the tour was just so much fun, plus the Segways are bomb. I cannot recommend this place enough! ALSO, remember to tip your tour guides! It’s a service industry and while I can’t speak for the rest of the guides other than Kent, take care of your guides! Have fun guys and check out SegCity!

  4. We had a great 2 1/2 riding tour around Austin, check this off my bucket list… problem is, we had so much fun… we will HAVE to do this in every city we visit (if it’s available)

Oh, and Julius ( the yodeling tour guide ) was awesome

  5. Great way to see Austin and actually easy to use with a little practice. We took the 1.5 hour ride which means we covered a lot of ground but did not learn about the history. The company was very professional and the segways are in very good shape. My brother in law went back the next day!

  7. Kent was a phenomenal guide! He was funny, witty, sharp, honest, encouraging, a good teacher, and energetic. Again, Kent was a superb instructor and made our tour more fun and enjoyable. We walked by another group of tours on our way out . . . and we’re so glad we didn’t get that guide! He seemed under-enthusiastic, under-whelming, and . . . kinda boring.

There were two things I didn’t like, however. One was that the art tour was only a single art destination tour. I totally thought we would stop by several unknown little art spots…and I thought we would see the “I love you” wall. That was purely something I could have asked for clarification on and/or possibly read up on. The other thing that I didn’t like was that we didn’t bring friends and the couple in front of us kept slowing down and driving or riding timidly. Uh, get in the back, girl! I think they could have made a remark or two about that in the introduction. Be a friendly driver and get in the back if your speed is slower.

  8. Ever since we lost our Segway virginities in San Francisco, we’ve been obsessed! Coming to ATX for the first time, we had to do it! It’s not because we’re too lazy to walk, (We walk a lot!) but Segways are just so frickin’ fun!

Even though we’ve Segwayed before, we still had to go through a quickie refresher and safety course before we got started. It was necessary, but it’s also amazing how fast it all becomes second nature once you hit the streets.

We opted for the Street Art Tour, but the tour covered much more than street art. We circled the State Capital, zoomed through streets, played around several parks, and made a fifteen minute stop at Baylor Street to climb the walls. We had a blast!

Groupon is where we got our deals, but their prices are fair to begin with.
