Austin’s noted slogan “Keep It Weird” reaches new heights in October as Halloween in Austin approaches. Austin’s 6th Street becomes an adult Halloween Party in the streets Halloween night. Austin is home to lot’s of Halloween celebrations and the entertainment districts are rife with Halloween shows and specials. Check out our events calendar for Halloween events. Look for Austin’s Halloween 2018 to be a week long celebration. We’re seeing events beginning at early as early as Thurs 10/25 and going all the way until Sat 11/3. Again Halloween falls in the middle of the week so we expect Wednesday 10/31 to be the biggest night down on 6th Street.       P.H. – Not sure of the rules on “fake” weapons on Halloween downtown. You may try calling APD (Austin Police) and asking their policy. We can’t imagine a big goofy Thor hammer being an issue, but who knows ?

    do people dress up for the weekend before Halloween? thinking about going down there this weekend
